frozen lakes/ponds are scary
So lately I've been seeing a whole lot of dogs falling into icy waters on the news. Today I was bringing wood in from the wood pile and my dog Mandy comes home. This is normal except that my dog Lucy was not with her. I waited a few minutes to see if she was just lagging behind because she's an old arthritic lab and doesn't move that fast anymore, but when she didn't come I got worried. So my mom, my neighbor, and I went looking for her. My mom and I went one direction on the road and my neighbor went in the other direction. My mom and I didn't see her so we turned around and went down the other part of the road. We soon saw our neighbor with my dog Lucy covered in a blanket. She had fallen through the ice in our pond and couldn't get out so my neighbor pulled her out. I got her into to my car with the heat blasting and quickly got her home. I got her inside and dried her off in front of the wood stove. I spent the last hour petting her trying to calm her down because she was still scared. I have her dinner and now she is curled up in blankets sleeping in front of the woodstove. I was so worried about her. I can't believe that happened. Thank god my other dog came home and let us know that Lucy was in trouble though.

I think I hate hipsters.
Shane and I were eating breakfast in the dining hall this morning and this group of freshmen hipsters was sitting next to us. He was stick thin and was wearing pants waaaaaay tighter than he needed to be. I'm really starting to fucking hate the whole hipster indy-pop scene here at Vassar. As much as punk/hip-hop/hippies may not stand for much now, at least they came out of a movement. The hipster style is just pure consumerism at its best (or worst)
On a better note, I got into a slapping match last night at a party and it was awesome. I managed to slap my friend Michael three times before he got me, but he got me good. I got Shane good too. Drunken slapping fights are more fun than I though they would be.
I might have a new hobby.
Shane just told me a really hilarious but gross bathroom story. Sometimes I hate that we tell each other everything. Irony gets ya, doesn't it?

So tonight I was really dissappointed to figure out what the fuck was going out w/all this NM drama bullshit. I am sick and tired of all of it. People are making rash judgements, assumptions, and throwing friendships away so easily. You don't have to be better than anyone and you don't have to prove yourself to anyone for god's sake. Who's to say who is fake or who's to judge someone else? I love all my friends and I do not want anyone to talk shit about them to me understand?
EVERYONE JUST LET IT GO FOR GOD'S SAKE. LET IT ALL GO. There are so many more important things happening in the world and in your life. FUCKING LET IT GO...ALL OF YOU.

So today kinda sucked. My car like died yesterday so I took it to get fixed this morning and found out that I couldn't get it back until the afternoon. That would have been fine but I had a doc appointment and I can't drive my parents cars b/c I'm not insured on them. Sooooo, my mom drove me to the dentist and that sucked cuz she makes me carsick the way she drives which sucks so much ass. argh. THEN i get to the doc's office and they make me wait like an hour in the waiting room and when I finally get in there I find out that the procedure is gonna take over 2 hours, but now my teeth are awesomely white which is good. I can only have white/clear food for 24 hours so that my teeth don't get stained and I'M GOING CRAZY ARGH...
IF YOU ARE COMING ON SATURDAY LET ME KNOW....I need to know if there will be enough people for me to get a keg.

Well I got here all safe and sound, fun fun. Its not so bad after all. My roomate is cool and the room is really that small, we have one of the bigger doubles out of the whole floor. I think I'm going to decorate my walls with quotes and stuff like that so if anyone has any good quotes let me know, just tell me as many as u can think of.
